The newly appointed HESLGB Board of Directors have commenced orientation sessions to deepen their understanding of the HESLGB's mandate and operations.

Speaking during the orientation, Board Chairperson Dr Patrick Makina reminded members that their primary role is to provide governance, and that effective governance cannot be achieved without a clear understanding of how the institution operates.

He therefore urged Board members to be attentive and fully involved throughout the orientation programme.

Before beginning the orientation session, the Board Directors took an Oath of Secrecy, which enforces confidentiality regarding matters discussed at the HESLGB board meetings.
